The Speciality Tea workshop that was!

We are talking about very high quality, #artisanal, small batches of white, purple, green, yellow, black and dark teas as well as special manufacture teas. #quality

A couple of weeks ago we ran a workshop on quality assessment and tea categorisation at the Tea Research Institute, Kericho. We expected 25 people or so … more than 50 attended.

While most were #teaproducers, many other players in the value chain were represented too – from packers to trade bodies and trade facilitators.

It’s great to see such enthusiasm for this niche but growing sector in Kenya.
The sector needs so much more support!
